WHAT IS A CHEMICAL PEEL?
A chemical peel involves the application of a chemical solution to eliminate layers of skin, unveiling a rejuvenated and youthful appearance. This treatment is effective in diminishing or enhancing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, scars, uneven skin tone, and various other skin imperfections. It is ideal for collagen induction as well as treating hyperpigmentation, too.
There are different levels to chemical peels. Some cause skin to slough off aggressively on day 3-4 after application. Some peels don’t cause skin to slough off but definitely exfoliate and clean pores. Some common peels you may research includes: Glycolic acid, Salicylic acid, Lactic acid, Trichloracetic acid, Madealic acid, and Pyruvic acid.
At Abraza Skin Studio in Atlanta and Silver Spring, MD, we use medical-grade chemical peels in all our facials.
We customize the use of Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids for client facials. We can adjust ingredients and strengths.
We also offer the best medium depth peel that will cause skin to slough off, revealing smoother texture, softer lines and wrinkles, scar improvement and diminishes hyperpigmentation.
NOTE:
NOT everyone is a candidate for the aggressive slough-off peel and we do a thorough consultation to make sure client’s are on the right track.
